Appeal trial hearing for Prometeo repressive operation postponed to January 23 (Genoa, Italy)

The hearing scheduled for today (November 14) at the Genoa court for the appeal trial for Prometeo repressive operation has been postponed to January 23, 2023, due to numerous ailments among the members of the assize court.

Let us recall that the three accused comrades were arrested on May, 21, 2019, in the context of an operation carried out by the Carabinieri of Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale (‘Special Operational Grouping’, ROS) and charged with attack with the purpose of terrorism in relation to the sending of three parcel bombs that arrived in June 2017 to prosecutors Rinaudo (prosecutor in several trials against the antagonist movement and anarchists) and Sparagna (prosecutor in the Scripta Manent trial) and Santi Consolo (at the time head of the Department of Penitentiary Administration). After the release of one comrade in December 2019, all three were acquitted at the end of the first-degree trial, on October 4, 2021, with one comrade released after two and a half years of imprisonment and the other released after further months between prison, house arrest and restrictive measures inherent to another proceeding.

Solidarity with the accused anarchist comrades!
