With Sara and Sandrone, loud and proud. On the event in Rome on the 29th of march 2026

We gather and publish a few short texts and images of the event held Sunday 29th march in Rome in memory of our anarchist comrades Sara Ardizzone and Alessandro Mercogliano. Despite attempts to cancel the morning event, a demo was held in the early afternoon from the Quarticciolo neighborhood (with the participation of over a 100 people). Those arrested in the morning (at least 91, for which not only anti-riot police has been mobilised but also the police cavalry) have been transferred in the immigration building of the police headquarters in Rome and have been released later. Sunday further highlighted how the repressive forces’ attempt to isolate Sara and Sandro – first by launching a mass media campaign aimed (in vain) at undermining their integrity, and then by systematically attempting to block events and initiatives held in their memory – has failed to achieve the desired effect. In case we receive more texts or images on the 29th of march in Rome we shall publish them.

Today, some comrades who were bringing flowers in memory of Sara and Sandro have been arrested and are being taken to the police headquarters in Rome. It is more or less 50 people. Sara and Sandro, comrades fallen in action, are and always will be in our heart.

The families of Sara and Sandro express their solidarity with those arrested this morning close to the house where the explosion occurred and express their gratitude for the demonstration which followed.

There is a deliberate effort on the part of the state and all institutions to isolate Sara and Sandro, to erase their memory and prevent it from being preserved. All of this will not be possible because Sara and Sandro were brave comrades, close friends, and people too wonderful to be forgotten. Certain gentlemen were convinced that locking up 90 people during several hours in the immigration office of via Patini was a good idea, in reality during those approximately 11 hours of police custody we were able to share with our younger comrades the legacy of our fallen comrades, highlighting both their courage and their tenderness.
Only fools and vultures—who rely on newspapers that are better suited for wiping asses than for clearing consciences—could believe that the futile attempts to repress the solidarity towards our comrades have been successful.

May Sara and Sandrone always light our path towards freedom.

More on the 29th of march in Rome

Sunday morning, not all anarchists and people who mobilized in solidarity, went to the park Acquedotti in Rome and got arrested and taken to via Patini.
Some of us managed to evade the attempts to stop us, pointing out that regardless what security measures are put in place, there are always unforeseen opportunities that allow them to be circumvented.
Later, in the Quarticciolo neighborhood, we moved towards Alessandrino forming a loud demonstration. The names of Sara and Sandrone echoed loud and clear in the streets of the neighborhood where they lived.
We anarchists are not sacrificial victims for the outrage of sincere democrats, nor are we guinea pigs for legal experiments: despite the huge number of people taken into custody, we were able to carry out what we had set out to do. Our aim was in fact that of claiming publicly and with our heads high the proximity of our comrades fallen while fighting for freedom.

With Sara and Sandrone, so that nothing will have been in vain.
Their words and their faces live within us.
No stepping back!
Death to the State.
Always for Anarchy!
