Call for a month of action and propaganda by comrades Lupi, Tortuga, and Belén

BLACK AUGUST

Almost a year ago, death took three brave warriors from this plane within days of each other—each with their own unique experiences, perspectives, and contributions to the anti-authoritarian struggle, united by their passage through the illegalist offensive against the world of power and its accomplices.

To our kindred, to the anonymous insurgents wherever they may be, to those who, through ideas and practices antagonistic to power, continue resisting every chant of defeat: This is a call to connect with the comrades through their contributions, writings, and actions. It is an invitation to know them, recognize them, and engage in dialogue through action.

There is no doubt that their departures—like those of so many other comrades—have left pain, frustration, and rage in their wake. But learning from those feelings, immersing ourselves in them to continue down the path of confrontation, is vital. And on that chosen path, the comrades will remain as impulses urging us to challenge authority, to build new ways of relating to one another, to live as we desire here and now.

The anarchic struggle and other revolutionary tendencies are no strangers to blows. And though in this case, the comrades did not fall in direct confrontation, their passing presents us with the challenge of multiplying their stories—stories soaked in boldness and determination, in concrete actions few dare to take. These are always worthy of reclaiming and spreading.

With August upon us, a year after the physical departure of Luciano Balboa «Lupi,» Luciano Pitronello «Tortuga,» and Belén Navarrete, our call is to stain the month black—with action and propaganda, with whatever is at hand. Let anarchic memory—which recognizes neither idols nor martyrs—be reclaimed in our spaces and in the streets with love and fervor.

Alone or accompanied, with your kindred, with your accomplices—make your contribution, leave your mark, act as you see fit. The time is now. There are more than enough reasons to keep expanding the idea and the deeds.

FOR A BLACK AUGUST!
LUPI, TORTUGA, AND BELÉN PRESENT IN CHAOS AND ANARCHY!
NOTHING HAS ENDED, EVERYTHING CONTINUES!
